FOST Gallery

1998 by Ian Woo

Since its establishment in 2006, FOST Gallery has built a reputation as one of Singapore’s most innovative galleries, presenting works by both established and emerging artists from Singapore and abroad. Housed at Gillman Barracks, the gallery represents artists such as John Clang (Singapore), Darren Soh (Singapore), Lavendar Chang (Taiwan), Kray Chen (Singapore), among several others.

From its very beginnings, education and sparking dialogue have been at the forefront of the gallery’s mission. They’ve made it a point to organise talks led by artists and curators for every exhibition, creating dynamic opportunities for insight and discussion. And let’s not forget their regular hosting of student groups, providing young minds with a direct line to the art world’s pulse.

Adding to their commitment to knowledge sharing, the gallery also publishes scholarly publications written by respected art historians and writers. These publications offer deep dives into the works on display, enriching the understanding of both casual visitors and seasoned art enthusiasts alike.
