Judging from its long tables and cosy sofa corners, this 130-seat bistro and bar could be the next space for big groups to hang loose in the West with craft beers from Dream Machine: a honey-noted India pale lager and Magic Hat #9, a hefeweizen brewed with elderberries. Opened by the people behind Long Black Café across the road, the 130-seat bistro and bar is their attempt to break out the monotony of serving simple fare, serving all-day breakfasts like a rosti-based smoked salmon Eggs Benedict ($16.90) and a french toast stuffed with mascarpone cheese and stewed granny smith chunks ($13.80), and mains: a peach chutney flavoured tofu-patty burger ($12.80) and spicy apple BBQ pulled pork burger ($14.80).
