Shake Shack is turning up the heat at its sixth, and latest, Great World outlet with a spicy Jalapeño Ranch menu. The limited-time offering, from April 28 to June 15, adds a fiery twist to your favourite burger creations.
But those who aren’t a fan of spice need not worry; the jalapeño-spiced dressing packs a (very) mild kick, with the addition of fresh peppers that help cut through the creamy richness. Have it slathered atop a juicy ShackBurger ($11.90), topped with pickled jalapeños for a light touch of spice; or sample it in a Chick’n Shack ($11.90) with bacon and crispy chicken patty. To complete the meal, dress up your usual order of crinkle-cut fries with the special ranch ($6.90), finished with bacon bits and more pickled jalapeños.
Exclusive to the Great World outlet are two concretes to help temper the heat. Poppin’ Good Time ($7.50) is a vanilla custard that comes swirled with chocolate pop rocks and fudge brownies baked by homegrown bakery Plain Vanilla. Or try the fruity Berry Ferris Swell ($7.50), where vanilla custard is blended with raspberries and cheesecake bits.
Anchoring the space of Shake Shack Great World is a playful mural by local artist Toby Tan (@tobyato). The hand-painted design draws reference to the old Great World Amusement Park, and features a playful depiction of thrilling roller coasters and fun Ferris wheels.
