Shake Shack (Liat Towers)

Shake Shack Orchard Road Concretes
Orchard Traffic Jam & Pie-Oh-My

Shake Shack has typically set up shop in iconic points in our city: in front of Jewel’s man-made waterfall, within the cultural precinct of Tanjong Pagar. And now, the global burger chain opens a third outlet along the island’s famous shopping belt: Orchard Road. It opens its doors at Liat Towers come August 5, Wednesday, at 6pm.

The new space takes inspiration from the great outdoors: it showcases an open-air patio – a nod to the original Shake Shack outlet in Madison Square Park – as well as a mural by local artist Danielle Tay depicting a lush Singapore landscape. The Orchard outlet also features an open-air drink kiosk available for convenient grab-and-go.

Inside the restaurant, two paintings line the walls of the restaurant. Danielle painted them during the ‘circuit breaker’ period, drawing inspiration from her strong memories of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The outlet is also the first to feature self-order digital kiosks – a timely addition in today’s socially distant environment.

The menu is rooted in the same tropical theme. Exclusive to the new store is a series of lemonades ($5.30): sample the hand-shaken series, in flavours of lychee, blueberry, and mango; or sip on sparkling lemonades made using soda water and passionfruit, or raspberry. There are also two new Concrete (from $7.50) creations that can only be found at this outlet: the Orchard Traffic Jam, blended with blueberry lavender jam, lemon curd, and shortbread; and the Pie-Oh-My that’s made with bits of treacle pecan tart from local baker Cheryl Koh.

Classic creations of the Shack Stack ($14.30) and its latest Chick’n Shack ($9.20) are also available.
