If you like live music performances (from 7pm till late), you can join the hordes of people packing this place. Practically bursting at the seams on weekends, you’ll be hard-pressed to even find a decent spot to stand in. But if you can manage the discomfort of feeling like a sardine in a can, start filling yourself up with some of the brews and you’ll be partaking in the rowdiness in no time. Sip from signature mojitos ($19) shaken with ginger or cucumber juice, or choose the daily happy hour specials which range from $7 for housepours to $45 for a beer bucket of five, all available from 5-8pm.
On quieter nights, when you can find a stool to rest your bum, kick back and bob along to the jazzy house tunes, all while appreciating the lovely and understated Peranakan-style decor.
