The Line

The Line

Having a buffet in a 400-seat restaurant has never felt as relaxing as a languid meal at The Line at Shangri-La Singapore. Designed by Adam Tihany, the restaurant’s seafoam and white palette, paired with angular glass-and-porcelain partitions, creates an elegant, open-plan space that somehow still feels intimate. This all-day dining institution has long been a go-to for buffet lovers, and a recent revamp has elevated both its aesthetic and culinary credentials.

The Line offers an international buffet with a wow factor. Sixteen live stations serve up a global smorgasbord: sushi and sashimi, wood-fired pizza, fresh seafood on ice, dim sum, grilled meats, Indian curries, Singaporean hawker staples and more. Highlights include made-to-order roti pratas, a customisable noodle bar, and an indulgent chocolate fondue fountain. Even better? There’s a thoughtful gluten-free selection for those with dietary restrictions.

The vibe
Bright, modern, and unexpectedly calm for a 400-seater.

The food
Polished, global flavours with something for every palate.

The drink
A well-rounded list of wines, cocktails, and mocktails. Free-flow alcohol options are available for weekend brunch and themed dinner nights.

Time Out tip
Don’t miss the roti prata and noodle stations, they’re made fresh on the spot and always hit the mark. Book ahead for themed dinners (seafood and barbecue nights are especially popular).
