UNA at The Alkaff Mansion

Una
Paella De Mariscon

Climb up to the second floor of idyllic Alkaff Mansion and have dinner for two under a vaulted ceiling lined with handsome timber and drop lights that amp up the romance. UNA sticks to its Spanish roots with dishes like Fideua de Calamares ($20), noodles tossed in squid ink and sofrito topped with deep-fried local baby squid as well as Paella de Marisco ($52/$72), bomba rice baked with seafood and chicken – both dishes that originated in the city of Valencia.

But sticking to Alkaff’s mission to bring a little slice of Basque Country to Singapore, UNA also pays tribute to the northern region with offers like the Txuleta served with Piquillo Sauce ($180/kg), a grilled prime rib-eye that’s usually from an older cow, which adds to the meat’s intensely beefy flavour. Complete your Basque meal with a plate of Ensalada de Tomate y Atun ($10), heirloom tomatoes with tuna and Esparragos Blancos ($14), white asparagus drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil.
